The poor visibility in buses / trucks during turning and maneuvering often leads to accidents with cyclists and pedestrians (VRUs). The collisions of commercial vehicles with VRUs are among the most serious accidents. To avoid this and support the driver, the turn assistants from AXION continuously monitor the blind spot next to the vehicle and warn the driver in dangerous situations.
The new generation of the ICA Turn-Assist uses state-of-the-art technology. With the help of artificial intelligence, the camera image is continuously evaluated. As soon as a VRU is in the coverage area, the driver is alerted. In case of collision danger, an additional warning is issued. The multi-level warning concept helps the driver to better assess the situation and avoid accidents.

Application area:
The system has been developed for commercial vehicles (classes N2 and N3), as well as buses (classes M2 and M3) with more than nine seats including the driver's seat, which meet the following installation conditions. The system can also be used for vehicles with <3.5T weight if the possible installation position allows it.
