UDS-AT Pro basic device incl. activation (CAN vehicle-specific)

The UDS-AT Pro is an advanced accident data recorder (“black box”) for vehicles. It records important data in the event of accidents or unusual driving situations – for example:

• Accelerations and rotational movements (3D sensor technology)
• Vehicle signals such as speed, brake, lights, indicators, etc.
• Optionally additionally recordable CAN signals

Such data can later be used for accident reconstruction, analysis of driving behavior, clarification of damages, or even as legally admissible evidence.

What does “incl. CAN (vehicle-specific) activation” mean?

CAN interface: The device can be connected to the vehicle electronics via the CAN bus (Controller Area Network), allowing access to additional internal vehicle signals.

Vehicle-specific activation: In this version, a configuration or license is already activated, which allows the use of CAN functionality for specific vehicle types or signal sets. Without this activation, the device could only record rudimentary or no CAN data.

Technical background (UDS)

The name UDS stands for Unified Diagnostic Services, an international diagnostic communication standard in the vehicle sector (ISO 14229), which is typically used via CAN bus.
