"CA-SID02-EXT is an interface and an adaptation for vehicles that do not have the MCA-A pre-equipment. The connection still needs to be parameterized by a Volvo workshop to ensure that everything works perfectly. In the new Volvo FM / FH4 / FMX from approx. April 2021, the infotainment system is equipped with an additional analog camera input. If the MCA-A pre-equipment is present in conjunction with SEM2 and SID in the vehicle, the camera image is displayed on the secondary display (SID). The camera can be flexibly configured as a reversing camera or as a camera for the trailer. There is also the possibility to use it in combination with the original digital camera. The configuration of these settings is conveniently done via the menu of the infotainment system."
